On November 5th, 2024, CLEAR was proud to welcome donors, researchers, business leaders, and members of the medical community to its annual Fall Reception, held in the heart of downtown Vancouver at KPMG’s Ignition Centre.
The evening offered a vibrant space for after-work networking and thoughtful conversation among individuals united by a shared purpose: advancing innovative dementia research for the benefit of all Canadians.
Guests heard from two of CLEAR’s funded scientists - Dr. Brian MacVicar and Dr. Manu Madhav - who shared the latest progress in their efforts to uncover new treatments and technologies to better understand, and ultimately combat, Alzheimer’s. Their presentations were featured in a dynamic panel discussion moderated by CLEAR President, Dr. B Lynn Beattie, who brought clinical insight and depth to the discussion. The exchange between researchers and attendees highlighted not only the scientific advancements being made, but the passion and urgency behind this critical work.
A particularly exciting moment of the night, was the official launch of CLEAR's 2024 Year-End Fundraising Match Campaign, with donations made until December 2024 matched 2x thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor.
We extend heartfelt thanks to all who joined us, and to our host, KPMG, for making this special evening possible. Your presence and support fuel the innovation and momentum our researchers need, and bring us closer to a future free of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
