Webinar Recap: Redefining the Future of Alzheimer's Research 

On November 17th, CLEAR Foundation supporters attended the latest instalment of our webinar series, "Making Alzheimer's Research CLEAR".

The virtual event featured guest speaker Dr. Shernaz Bamji (Neuroscientist and Co-Director of the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health), joined by moderator Claire Lynch (Executive Director of CLEAR Foundation).

During the conversation, Dr. Bamji illustrated how dementia research is evolving beyond the long-standing emphasis on amyloid plaques and tau tangles, and toward deeper investigation of the early cellular changes that could unlock new treatment pathways. She also discussed how innovative tools in cell biology and imaging are helping researchers map these changes with unprecedented detail, bringing us closer to targeted treatments that could slow, stop, or even prevent the disease.
