CLEAR’s Board of Directors had the opportunity to meet with Members of British Columbia’s Legislative Assembly in Victoria to discuss dementia in Canada and how to combat this disease through research.
Our Foundation was especially honoured to meet with BCs Minister of Health, The Honourable Adrian Dix, to discuss CLEAR’s innovation in dementia research and the critical need for ongoing government funding.
CLEAR-funded researcher Dr. Katherine Elvira also was in attendance to present her innovative “lab on chip” device with the MLAs, illustrating how such advancement will aid in the efficacy of future dementia drug treatments.
Canadians For Leading Edge Alzheimer Disease extends its appreciation to both the BC NDP & BC United Party for their time and dedication in learning more about the sobering statistics of dementia in our country and the dedication of CLEAR to eradicate this disease through research innovation.
